The book is overall okay the author reveals a few things the other books have not but I have to agree with some of the other reviewers that the author comes across as cynicalbitter at times and appears to have made some not all of his assumptions without having seen John and Carolyn often enough to have made a fair judgment I should have paid attention to the reviews on this book This isn't a book about JFK Jr It's a book about Billy Noonan trying desperately to convince the reader and possibly himself as well that he was John Kennedy's best friend and that Kennedy trusted him and only one other person Really Kennedy was an intensely private person so how exactly does Mr Noonan define the words best friend Best friend's do not write this kind of book So in my view he's just as bad or worse in fact than everyone else he purported to despise in the book that tried to cash on on the Kennedy name while he commits the ultimate betrayal by doing just that Don't think by reading what I'm writing that Noonan wrote a juicy tell all and that you're going to learn anything about JFK Jr that you didn't already know You won't so if that's what you're after you're are definitely wasting your money This is a bunch of drivel This book as well as all of the other books written by JFK's friends would have been a massive disappointment to John and I have no doubt he wouldn't have remained friends with these people for long If you do want to read a decent book about JFK Jr the one his assistant wrote is worth the money world-history

Forever Young: My Friendship With John F. Kennedy, Jr.
Mr Noonan should be applauded for putting into words his heartfeltand honest emotions about the relationship he shared with John FKennedyJr So glad that he wrote it and I can only hope that it inspires otherswho knew him to do the same Tears were streaming down my face during the final pages of his book Very sad that John was finally coming into his own weighed down by a difficult marriage and having his life and two others endOh what could have been had he remained alive and ran for office I will say a few prayers for Mr Noonan's full recovery from cancer Please keep writing world-history Billy Noonan certainly isn't a professional writer but it was so refreshing to read the truth about John and Carolyn's relationship and the behind the scenes in John Kennedy's life and get the best truthful glimpse of the person that he was Forever Young: My Friendship With John F. Kennedy, Jr. This books sounds like he was trying to convince everyone including himself he was John Kennedy Jr's best friend I didn't come away liking Billy Noonan world-history The author Noonan's partial title is My Friendship with John F Kennedy Jr but halfway through this book I was uestioning the friendshipAnyone who has studied John Jr knows he was intently private even with his close friends What kind of true friend writes a book where he is discussing intimate details of John's life A friend cashing in on the tragedy writing a book for the money or notoriety Or a former friend trying to settle a scoreThe writer continually points out the errors of others while continually making himself out to be the smart hero the one that is always right and knows best Noonan clearly had an agenda when writing this book And because of that I doubt the accuracy and the truthfulness of his account of events noted in this book Forever Young: My Friendship With John F. Kennedy, Jr. I have never before given a book only one star but this book made me seriously uestion whether or not Penguin still employs editors The content is completely uninteresting and frankly of uestionable veracity as the author's account differs in many places with sources who had at the very least as much access to JFK Jr as he did Further the tone of the writing makes him sound bitter petty juvenile and narcissistic It's simply hard to imagine ANYONE wanting to be his best friend You will learn nothing new or interesting here It's absolutely not worth the price Carole Radziwill's book Robert Littell's book Matt Berman's book and even RoseMarie Terenzio's book are better purchases if you want some genuine insight into the life experiences and character of the late John Kennedy Jr world-history
